We had an amazing time staying at this traditional inn with friends. Our room was really cozy, and we especially loved the view of the peaceful garden. After a long day visiting the Golden Pavilion and Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, relaxing in the private onsen was the highlight of our trip. The hosts provided us with great local tips and were super accommodating.
The only downside was the remote location. we had to rely on public transport to get around, which took a bit longer than expected.

Staying at Yadoya Nishijinso felt like stepping back in time. The traditional architecture and tatami flooring created a serene atmosphere. My room overlooked a beautiful garden, providing a peaceful view. The breakfast was a colorful spread of local flavors, perfectly setting the tone for the day. Mr Kazumi and Mrs Chie were exceptional hosts, offering recommendations for nearby sights and even providing transport when needed. However, the room had limited electrical sockets, which made it difficult to charge devices. Also, the shared bathrooms required a call system, which felt a bit inconvenient at times.

Sharing toilets can be uncomfortable!!! The upstairs toilets were barely adequate for Western standards. Some individual cleanliness items, like personal slippers in bathrooms, would enhance the experience!!!

The shared bathrooms often felt cramped, especially during peak times, which made the experience a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the walls weren't very soundproof, making it challenging to maintain privacy when other guests were in the hallways. The room lacked adequate electrical sockets, limiting device charging options.

The exceptional hospitality left a lasting impression, with the owners providing invaluable local insights. The delicious homemade ice cream was a delightful treat that highlighted the culinary focus here. However, the limited electrical sockets made charging devices tricky, and the shared bathroom system felt slightly inconvenient, especially during peak times. The atmosphere at this traditional inn is serene, yet I noticed some thin walls that may affect privacy.
